Spotlight on Dani Clay

Dani Clay started her singing career at the age of 18 where she was signed as part of a girl group to Death Row Records. This journey took her on a Uk tour where performances were had at Wembley arena and stadium, working with top producers such as Dallas Austin (TLC) Jasper Cameron (Christine Augilera) and House of Tre (Alecia Keys). Her solo career began when she joined forces with a young talented producer Duvall, who is part of the hit making Dance/Club group and 2016 MTV/VMA winners (Disciples - How deep is your love with Calvin Harris) this 3 year partnership featured Dani on top dance compilations from ministry of sound and Hed Kandi, including a signed track to Pete Tongs label. Dani went on to create her own blues, soul band of covers and original material for a more live interaction with her audience displaying her passions of soul music. Touring the Uk with her rich soulful tones won her a position to be nominated for MTV best unsigned act 2014, and she became a top 10 winner in the USA Songwriting Competition 2011, along side Ken Hirsch ( 90s hit - Black Velvet). Supporting UB40 in 2014 at the Brentwood festival was a great opportunity to deliver her original material and a follow up opportunity to be apart of the prime time ITV1 talent show X Factor in 2015, Dani says 'was a fun experience'. Thereafter Dani collaborated with a production duo Mandal and Forbes where she is featured on the 2015/2016 dance anthem (Never let go) with over 100'000 sound cloud hits and one of Ibiza's favourite summer tracks of the year. As a soulful singer with RnB influences and a love of funk and blues has given Dani all the best ingredients to deliver effectively a tribute to the amazing vocalist Dee C Lee complimenting the 80s sounds of The style council.
